What a Busy Busy Month!

My 3 day crop has ended and my talk at my local county fair is over and I survived both.

I did manage to get a few cards, bookmarks and a couple of pages done. The polka dot page I did because I thought making a page to resemble my blog would be fun. I also did a couple of pages for some remodeling we have been doing and I didn't do a lot to the pages because I hear so many people saying "scrapping is to expensive" or "I am not artsy enough" so I wanted to show them something simpler and yet it looks fine. The cards and bookmarks are made from scraps, but I like them, hope you do to.

I was also asked to set up at out local fair, Menard County, and to give a 20 minute talk about scrapbooking. I was a little reluctant, but I managed and it really wasn't as bad as I thought. It was a perfect crowd to speak to because it was at the "Womens Pavillion" and most were older so getting the point across about memory preservation really hit home for some. If you ladies can set up at your local fair you should really try, I had a great time.

I also just finished up my third 3 day crop this weekend and I have one more to go(October). All of us ladies had a great time and we had a few new faces join us. I didn't get a lot done, but I still had fun. I highly recommend going away for long crops, its so relaxing and fun. I really enjoy the hotel and its staff when we visit, they are awesome!

Happy 4th of July!

I hope everyone had a great Holiday weekend! I took the week off from crafting to enjoy the week with family, I hope you all did the same.

I have also been busy planning a 3 day crop and recouping from my day crop. I hope you ladies are still making time for crafting over the summer. If you are looking for a place to crop this summer contact me for all the details for the July crop, I still have plenty of room.

Next week I am setting up at out local fair and am giving a talk about preserving memories and the importance of that. I am a little nervous, I am not good at talking in front of a lot of people, but I love what I do and am excited to share it! I will let you know how it goes.

Lovin' Animal Cookies!

I had the best time playing with the Animal Cookies Level 2 paperpack. This pack is great for both boys and girls and the last 3 cards I thought would make great Congratulations cards for new parents.
I would like to thank Chris Green fromm CTMH for her THANKS cards, I love the look and changed it up a little as not to "copy".
Enjoy!

Underwent a Change

In case anyone didn't notice, I changed my blog's name from The Craft and Crop Circle to Snap Craft and Make it Pop! My daughter didn't really like the name and we goofed around until she came up with the new name. Hope no one minds! ;)
Also, I've been busy (Relay for Life, then got sick) so my blog has been neglected much to my daughters dismay and nagging. But I will post some artwork as soon as I get the new products in and I get the artwork done.

So keep checking in, you'll never know what I'll post!

These were made by Tina, a fellow scrapbooker, thought I'd share her artwork.

3 day crop fun

Just rested up from my 3 day crop. Everyone had a good time and got lots of thinks done. It was a small turnout, but we all enjoyed our time away from husbands, kids and responsiblity. I didn't crop much, I made crafts for my upcoming craft night and made thank you cards for the Relay for Life event. A fellow cropper(Tina) took some time away from cropping and she made a few crafts as well. She really enjoyed making the purses( a pattern I got from my fellow CTMH consultants, thank you ladies for your inspiration)

My First Blog (a scrapbooking moment everyone!!)

This is my first attempt at a blog, so bear with me! My daughter(Kristina) has spent her last day of Spring break helping me start a blog, as I am totally a computer ditz!
My daughter and husband came up with the title for my blog. My husband, Tom, came up with the crop circle because he is a little of a sci-fi alien kinda guy. (He is in the military so he always jokes about Area 51.)
I will try to post frequently to show some of my crafts and scrapbooking pages. Also to let people know about upcoming crops, because I know those are hard to come by! I also wanted to start this blog to keep up with fellow scrapbookers and crafters to share ideas and have a good time!
